Disclaimer
I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone's skin is different and it's possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.

I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

  1. For someone who has extremely chapped lips, my advice is take a hot shower, make sure lots of steam hits your face; this will soften dry scaly skin. Then go ahead and exfoliate your lips by rubbing them together or with a paper towel. I suggest using something with a bit of dry texture to rub off the dead skin this is because using harsh exfoliates such as sugar will cause a lot of rips or sores on your lips. This technique is best for people who are constantly plagued by rough lips.

  2. Thank you for the wonderful tutorials, Lisa. What shades would you recommend for a very fair peachy/neutral skintone, olive green eyes, and light coppery/darker strawberry blonde/ginger hair that won’t clash?

  3. Thank youfor this, and on the red lip discussion, I used to own Russian Red, by Mac – but despite reviewers saying that it worked for both warm and cool skin tones, I was never able to pull it off. I'm cartainly not shy and retiring and am quite capable of storming out to the shops in broad daylight wearing a deep burgundy/red brown lip – but, disappointingly, RR never looked that good on me. I wonder why? Warm to neutral skin, dark green/hazel eyes, in case anyone has any idea or thinks I should try again.
Came back to say that I've noted Lisa saying that red lips need to go with neutralising red or blotchy tones in the skin. Now, it's quite true that I often go without foundation, using only concealer. Maybe I need to be heavier handed with that?

  4. Now that I have purchased it and that I am wearing it, I understand why Revlon's Fire & Ice red lipstick has been in the market since 1952: the colour looks SO awsome that you would never take it off! And when I have it on, yes, I do feel a bit like a character in Mad Men… 😉 Thank you for helping me discover this little magic!

  5. The bold red lipstick used in a casual way is a gorgeous look I adore and have worn since… ever! Thank you for sharing your experience on it: I really enjoyed this video! And: it is true that a red lipstick can really help to cheer you up!

  6. I am watching this again and after viewing more than 20 other videos about wearing red lipstick, this is the BEST & MOST AWESOME video!! I agree that 1 thumb up isn't enough. I love this video!!!
