The past week or so has been one long round of parties and dinners to celebrate the The British Film Academy Awards, Elle Style Awards and London Fashion Week. As someone who doesn't drink much ordinarily and likes an early night this recent merry-go-round has really taken its toll on my skin. After a very lovely and glamorous, but particularly late, night at last weekend, I decided to do this ‘pick me up' make-up look in an attempt to perk-up my skin — and my mood!

Using some lively, cool tones of silvery grey and lilac (a universally flattering pep up shade) around my eyes I then lifted my tired and dull-looking skin with a great pink blush. A pop of colour on nails, like this amazing yellow from the forthcoming Chanel summer collection also gives you that immediate feel-good factor!

I hope you like the look — as you've probably already seen, colour is a huge trend for Spring so inject some colour into your make-up bag now — and hopefully it will perk you up just as much as these pretty pastels did me!

Disclaimer
I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone's skin is different and it's possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.

I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

  1. Could you create celebrities look using affordable products please ?! Like Revlon, Rimmel and Maybline ?! Could make a special episode about how could we create such impressive looks with their products ?! Thank you love your works 🙂

  2. Even when she feels exhausted and has breakouts and no makeup on, Lisa is heart-wrenchingly lovely. Hardcore girl crush going on, here. I want to make her her morning coffee and listen to her talk about anything at all. Is that weird? It's pretty weird. But alas. She's also my makeup hero. I hardly even glance at other makeup youtube channels after finding Lisa.

  3. Hi Lisa, I'm looking for a make up for someone is ill, I've got endometriosis, so long term chronic pain and another 6 months to wait before treatment, lots of medication, my skin is terrible and I look exhausted, I'm also too tired to spend ages on make up. I'm realistic enough to know I can't do miracles but if you have a tutorial which would give me a few pointers to boost my confidence that would be very kind :-).
